TRiNDS and Working From Home: The Importance of Workplace Flexibility
TRiNDS partners with innovative clients conducting rare neuromuscular disease research around the world. Our priority is to give clients high level, continuous support from specialized, experienced, and knowledgeable teams. One of the keys to a successful trial is retention of a qualified and experienced central team over the life of the project.
While TRiNDS’ headquarters are in Pittsburgh, PA, all our employees are home-based. Our approach allows us to hire and retain the best in the field, to flexibly meet clients’ needs, and to maximize efficiency. First, the TRiNDS model relies on maintaining a team of neuromuscular research experts – finding the best person shouldn’t be limited by location. Eliminating the daily commute helps us maintain high employee satisfaction. Scheduling flexibility allows us to accommodate client and project schedules more easily and to work more efficiently.
Engaging in person is still a central part of what we do. Our Pittsburgh team optionally meets in person once a week to support each other and maintain team relationships. TRiNDS employees receive annual support to attend in-person industry conferences and trainings. Project teams attend in-person project meetings and events to support project goals. Our model reserves in-person time for connection and complex teamwork and shifts other tasks to the flexibility and efficiency of working from home.
