Andrea D’Alessandro is the Director of Clinical Operations and oversees TRiNDS’ Clinical Operations Solution including team of project managers, clinical research associates, and clinical trial assistants.
Andrea has had a career in neuromuscular clinical research for 10 years and has worked with the CINRG network since 2013 in previous roles as a study coordinator and project manager. She has experience with both multicenter and single-site clinical research studies as well as industry- and academic-sponsored studies of various phases and study designs. Andrea has served on the CINRG Executive Committee.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary and Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a certified genetic counselor and previous served as the clinic genetic counselor for pediatric and adult neuromuscular clinics at the University of Michigan and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Outside of her work with TRiNDS, she currently runs a bi-monthly support group for families affected by familial ALS through the ALS Association.
