TRiNDS Continuing Education Program: CureDuchenne FUTURES 2023

TRiNDS provides contract research services around the world for clients working in rare neuromuscular disease (NMD) research. Our commitment to cultivating excellence in our expert, specialized, experienced, and knowledgeable team members allows us to bring high level support to every project, every day. Part of providing high quality support to our clients is fostering collaboration and staying up to date on breakthrough methods and strategies in our field.

TRiNDS encourages every full-time employee to attend continuing education conferences or training courses once a year. This year, some members of our team used their educational funds to attend the CureDuchenne FUTURES 2023 conference. CureDuchenne FUTURES 2023 took place in late April, and those of us who attended have described the experience as one that reinforced their commitment to what we do at TRiNDS. Of note to our staff members was the focus on fostering collaboration between researchers. It is easy to view Duchenne research from a competitive, individualistic lens, but there is so much more that can be done when innovation is able to be collaborative.

Outside of industry updates, TRiNDS team members enjoyed hearing from and meeting the community. The CureDuchenne Link sponsored dinner allowed everyone to eat, talk, and, for many, dance together. I’ll Push You was the keynote speaker on Saturday, April 22nd, and the group that had been dancing together the night before, were now crying together. Whenever you would sneak out for food or a bathroom break, you could see children working on a craft, building Legos, or creating their own Lego minifigures, mobility devices included! Our team describes CureDuchenne FUTURES 2023 as having been a pleasure to attend. Everyone at TRiNDS is looking forward to CureDuchenne FUTURES 2024 – maybe we’ll see you there?
