All of us at TRiNDS come to work every day committed to conducting the best quality rare disease and neuromuscular research. Today, we’d like to highlight Kendra Glass, Assistant Manager of Clinical Data Management. We sat down with Kendra to learn more about her and her work.
How did you come to work in clinical research?
Kendra: I honestly stumbled upon clinical research over 20 years ago while taking a short-term position as a data entry contractor. At that time, I didn’t know anything about the industry but quickly became fascinated. I shifted my education and knowledge-seeking to a biopharmaceutical focus and haven’t left the industry since.
What does your typical day look like at TRiNDS?
Kendra: The great thing about clinical research is that there isn’t a typical day or set of repetitive routines. Primarily, your day-to-day activities adjust as project needs are ever-changing. General responsibilities can include reviewing protocols, resource planning, cross functional meetings to discuss timelines, creating study documents, and reviewing data within our database system.
What are you most excited about for the future of neuromuscular research?
Kendra: I’m excited to see what the future holds for neuromuscular research. Over the years, the overall quality of life for patients living with neuromuscular diseases (NMDs) has significantly improved due to the breakthrough of clinical research studies. As research progresses, I’m looking forward to seeing a continued increase in both the quality of life and life expectancy for patients living with rare NMDs.
